Meet Dr. Lauren Lewandowski

Dr. Lewandowski grew up in Queens, New York with her parents and younger brother. It’s a long way from Washington but it was the great start she needed to get ready for the Pacific Northwest.

For undergraduate school she attended Binghamton University in New York. Majoring in Biological Anthropology with a certificate in Evolutionary Studies, she was able to learn more about topics that interested her like Forensic Science at the same time as prepping for dental school.

Dr. Lewandowski swam for the club swim team and was a resident assistant for three years.

For dental school she attended University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. She started the school’s first wellness initiative, leading the volunteer outreach organization, and co-editing and designing the student newsletter.

Her journey into Orthodontics started in ninth grade, “I had big dreams of being on Broadway.”

However, upon realizing that her singing voice was not quite star quality, she began to observe the professionals around her. “My orthodontist was a poised, intelligent woman to whom I gave the utmost respect. I admired the way she interacted with me, my family, other patients, and team members. After a few afternoons of shadowing, it was an easy decision to pursue a career in orthodontics.”

Dr. Lewandowski graduated from University of Washington’s orthodontic program. Now her passion is creating show-stopping smiles. “Who knows, perhaps my patients will find their way to the stage!”

She is comfortable treating patients of all ages, as well as those with special needs, and has experience with cases requiring complex dental procedures where she works with other dentists to recreate bites and smiles.

Her “stay-at-home” activities have included improving her sourdough skills, caring for her many plants, and video chatting with family and friends. She also has fluffy puppy – BAGEL.!

Favorite leisure activities include trying out new restaurants and food trucks, going to see musicals and plays, traveling, hiking, and spending time with friends. Grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s is actually one of her favorite things to do!

“I am thrilled to be part of a profession I dreamed about for over a decade. I always look forward to serving my patients and being a positive presence in their lives and our community.”
